Chore Service
One of the most important responsibilities of a community is to ensure care for its elderly and disabled residents. This is the mission of the Chore Service which supplements the essential help of family members, friends, congregations, the Salisbury Visiting Nurse Association, Salisbury Family Services, Senior Services, Geer, Noble Horizons and others.
Chore Service provides support to elderly and disabled people in Salisbury as well as in Canaan, Cornwall, Falls Village, Kent, Norfolk and Sharon so that they can stay safely and independently in their homes. Our program also provides income for local part-time workers. They perform thousands of hours of service which include light and heavy housekeeping, shopping, laundry, cooking, yard maintenance, minor home repair and dog walking.
If you know of anyone who needs affordable help at home or would like to be part-time Chore worker, please contact Ella Clark, Chore Service's Executive Director, at 860-364-1003 or by email at ellaclark@sharon-ct.org. You can also contact Patrice McGrath at Salisbury Family Services, at 860-435-5187.
