Elderly and Totally Disabled Homeowner Tax Relief program

ELDERLY & TOTALLY DISABLED HOMEOWNER TAX RELIEF

The Salisbury Assessor’s office will be accepting applications for the Elderly and Totally Disabled Homeowner Tax Relief program Feb 1 - May 15, 2018. 

 

Homeowners must have reached the age of 65 by December 31, 2017 to qualify.  Those homeowners on social security disability do not need to meet the age requirement but must show proof of their permanent disability status and meet the income limits for this program.

 

Applications are required by law to submit proof of their 2017 income (Income Tax Return if filed) and their Social Security form 1099 for the year 2017.

 

The income limits for this year are: Married $43,000 or Single $35,300
