IMPORTANT NOTICE: Beware of Ongoing Scam Attempts

What’s happening:
We’ve been made aware of fraudulent messages (via email) going out to applicants claiming to require additional fees for an application to be approved. 

What you should know:
o   The Town will never ask for payments via wire transfer.

o   All email communications will come from our verified channels, such as landuse@salisburyct.us, or via OpenGov.com. 

o   If you receive any suspicious communication, please do not click on any links or provide any information. Instead, please reach out to us separately via a known channel to verify that the communication you received is legitimate.

What to do if you’re contacted:
1.     Do not respond.
2.     Take a screenshot or copy the message.
3.     Report it to us by emailing it to landuse@salisburyct.us

We take your security seriously and are actively working on protecting the Town from these scams. Please remain vigilant and contact us if you have any concerns.

The Salisbury Zoning Board of Appeals consists of five regular members and three alternates elected by the Community.

*Effective 08/24/2020 the Salisbury Zoning Board of Appeals will hold virtual meetings on the Zoom Platform*
Due to the ongoing public health concerns associated with COVID-19 Commissions are meeting virtually. To confirm meeting specifics please contact the Land Use Office. Pursuant to Special Act Act No. 21-2 Sec. 149, the Commission will be holding meetings online via Zoom. Members of the  public will be able to participate in these public meetings via the video conference link posted on the agenda, or by dialing in using the teleconference phone line listed.

The Zoning Board of Appeals is responsible for hearing and deciding appeals from decisions of the Zoning Enforcement Officer, granting variances from the applications of the zoning regulations, and issuing certificates of location approval for motor vehicle dealers and repairers.

** Effective November 19, 2020 – Please submit 4 complete paper sets of materials with all ZBA Applications and provide digital versions of all plans and photographs. **

Applications made to the Board should be submitted no later than noon the Thursday before the meeting to ensure all application materials can be posted to the website in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Orders. The Assessor’s Cards are now available online and should be referenced when completing applications.
